Dr. Paul R. Davis, DO

I was raised in Santa Ana and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, with a minor in Chemistry, from Cal State University Fullerton. My medical journey continued at Western University of Health Sciences, where I pursued Osteopathic Medicine.

In 1996, I moved to Redding to complete a 3-year hospital-based Family Medicine Residency program through UC Davis at Mercy Medical Center. This vibrant community became my home, and I’ve been here ever since.

Not only am I passionate about practicing medicine, but also about imparting knowledge. I’m privileged to be a part of the teaching faculty for UC Davis and Western University, instructing medical students and Family Medicine Residents.

I joined the Redding Rancheria Team in 1999, and have found immense satisfaction in practicing full spectrum Family Medicine at the Tribal Health center. Approximately in 2007, I stepped into the role of Medical Director, and I now proudly serve as the Tribe’s ‘Chief of Medicine.’

Today, I’m proud to introduce you to our exceptional team of professionals at Wellness Family Medicine. Each one of us is dedicated to providing you with individualized, evidence-based treatment tailored to your unique circumstances. We invite you to book an appointment with us, and let us guide you on your journey to better health and quality of life. We’re here for you, every step of the way.

Gretchen Melburg

MSN, MBA, FNP-BC

As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, I bring a blend of experience, advanced education, and a compassionate approach to Wellness Family Medicine. After receiving my Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner with honors from Sonoma State University in 2011, I dedicated myself to providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.

With a foundation in both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from Chico State, I effectively pair my medical knowledge with business acumen to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

My philosophy of care centers on forming authentic connections with you, my patient. By attentively listening to your concerns and working collaboratively on individualized care plans, I aim to ensure that you feel heard and cared for at each visit.

Beyond my professional life, I am actively involved in volunteer work within our community, reflecting my passion for service. When I’m not supporting the health of my patients, I enjoy traveling with my husband, embracing the great outdoors, and spending time with our Whippets and Italian Greyhound.

I am committed to building relationships based on trust and mutual respect, and I look forward to partnering with you on your journey towards wellness.
